Windows POS Software for Small Businesses
Installed on your PC. Ready at the counter.
Pulsevis is a point of sale app you install on a Windows PC, like any other program. It runs the day-to-day of a small shop — sales, stock, customers and receipts — with your own printer and scanner, and it keeps working when the internet drops.
A POS built for Windows
A desktop app that sits on your counter PC.
Pulsevis is not a website in a browser window. It is installed on the PC, opens from the desktop, and is built to be driven from the keyboard.
Run one installer and Pulsevis is on the PC with a desktop shortcut. Removing it is a normal Windows uninstall, and your store data is kept in case you reinstall.
Enter moves a sale forward, + and − change the quantity, Alt+H holds a sale and F5 brings it back. Ctrl+P prints the receipt and Ctrl+K opens a command search.
The app and your store database are both on the PC. There is no website to sign in to at the counter and no tab for someone to close by accident.
New versions are offered inside the app, and nothing is installed until you choose to. See what changed in recent releases
Everything you need at the counter
Sell, stock and look after customers from one app.
The core of a small shop's day, in one Windows program. Where a feature is only on Premium, the card says so.
Search by name or tap a product tile, apply a discount, and hold a sale while you serve the next customer.
Scan with a USB scanner or the PC's camera to add items to the basket. Scanning and barcode labels are on Premium.
Stock goes down with every sale. Set low-stock alerts, import a product list from a CSV file, and track batch and expiry dates on every plan.
Record cash, card, online or a split payment against each bill. Pulsevis records how a bill was paid; it does not process cards.
Print a receipt on every sale. Changing the receipt layout and wording is on Premium.
Add a customer and attach them to a sale. Purchase history and loyalty points are on Premium.
Refund or exchange items from an earlier sale at the till, on every plan. The Returns history page is on Premium.
See the day's sales on the dashboard. Free keeps 7 days of sales history; full reports, including profit, are on Premium.
Each person signs in with their own PIN. Free has one user; Premium adds as many staff as you need.
Built for your Windows hardware
Works with the printer and scanner you already have.
Pulsevis uses the devices Windows already recognises, through their normal drivers. There are no special cables or Pulsevis-branded hardware to buy.
Any 58 or 80 mm thermal printer that is installed in Windows with its driver. Choose it in Settings and receipts print straight to it; otherwise the Windows print dialog opens.
USB scanners that work in keyboard (HID) mode and send Enter after each scan. A webcam works too. Barcode scanning is on Premium.
Plug in a second monitor and Pulsevis can show the customer their basket and total on it, full screen, while you ring them up.
A 64-bit Windows 10 or 11 computer with a keyboard and mouse. The full system requirements are in the help centre.
Cash drawers and weighing scales are not supported. Setting up a barcode scanner · System requirements and setup help
Works even when the internet doesn't
Because Pulsevis runs on the Windows PC rather than a server, a dropped connection does not stop the counter. You keep selling, printing receipts and updating stock, and on Premium your other computers catch up once you are back online.
Your data on your PC
Pulsevis keeps your store in a database file on the Windows PC it is installed on. What that means in practice:
- Sales, stock and customer records are read and written on the PC, so nothing at the counter waits for a server
- A backup is made automatically when the app starts and every 24 hours, and the last 7 are kept
- You can also back up to a USB drive or any folder, and restore from it
- The database is not encrypted, so use a Windows password and keep backup drives somewhere safe
- Free keeps everything on the PC. Premium also sends the store data it syncs to Pulsevis servers

Which versions of Windows does Pulsevis run on?
Windows 10 and Windows 11, 64-bit. Pulsevis is a Windows desktop app; there is no Mac, Linux or browser version.
Is Pulsevis a desktop POS or a web app?
A desktop POS. You install it on the PC at your counter and your store data is kept on that PC. You do not open a website to make a sale.
How do I install it?
Download the installer and run it. It takes under a minute and adds a desktop shortcut. On a new release, Windows SmartScreen may ask you to confirm before it runs; the help centre walks through this.
Can I use a barcode scanner with Pulsevis on Windows?
Yes, on Premium. Use a USB scanner set to keyboard mode, or the PC's camera. On Free you can still store a barcode against a product, but not scan it at the counter.
Can I print receipts from a Windows PC?
Yes, on every plan. Install your 58 or 80 mm thermal printer in Windows with its driver, then choose it in Pulsevis Settings so receipts print without a dialog.
Does Pulsevis need the internet?
Not for selling. Sales, stock, customers, receipts and reports all run on the PC. You need a connection to download the app and updates, to activate Premium and to sync between computers on Premium.
Can I run it on more than one Windows PC?
On Premium, yes: up to 5 computers share one store, kept in step by sync over the internet. Free runs on one PC.
